Recipes and Cooking Basics

Mix together well, massage in oil and lemon into beets. 4-5 servings worth can be made in advance,

Raw Liver Recipes
Many of us simply will not eat liver, in some cases like my own, even if my life depended on it! Liver is
one of the top ten nutrient dense foods and all our ancestors knew this.
A brief list why we need this = zinc/copper balance, high Vitamin A (not carotenes which have to be
converted to Vitamin A), a complete protein, and B-vitamins in their natural non-toxic form. ALOT
more. I began eating them after a potluck someone brought raw chicken livers and after I ate 2-3 (very
hard to swallow = gross LOL!) my energy spiked 30 minutes later for the entire evening! This means it
works for me.
So in this, here is a list of marinades I have found helpful:
In this recipe booklet =
Teriyaki
Italian dressing
Lemon Tahini
Kraut Dressing
Salsa
HERE are unique Liver marinades – let soak 24 hours and chop into SMALL ;pieces!
Version 1 (note all these recipes are designed for 2 cups 16oz chopped liver
juice of one large lemon
2 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh garlic chopped fine
1-2 tsp celtic salt
1-2 tbsp Nama Shoyu – raw soy sauce by Ohsawa, or Coconut Aminos (not Braggs!), or other soy
sauce
YOU CAN VARY THE AMOUNTS BUT THIS ONE WORKS WELL TO TAKE OUT TEXTURE AND
FLAVOR
OPTIONS:
TRY 2 TBSP PREPARED MUSTARD IN THIS.
Version 2 – CHOP FINE AND PUT IN RAW MILK, YOGURT, KEFIR, FOR 24 HOURS THEN STRAIN
OUT LIQUID AND EAT THE LIVERS
Version 3 – soak in apple cider vinegar instead of lemon from version 1 or just soak in the vinegar 24
hours – use 1⁄2 cup vinegar and 1⁄2 cup water.
Version 4 –
2-4 tbsp prepared mustard
1-2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
simple and easy -soak 24 hours as version 1
Version 5 –
Add to 2 cups chopped fresh in season tomatoes, 2 tbsp celery chopped fine, and 2 tbsp green onions
OR simply add the 16 oz chopped livers to any salsa you like, and same 24 hour marinade then eat.

Radish Salad
1 cup grated/chopped fine red or other radish (daikon, Spanish black, watermelon, even turnip is ok)
2 tbsp or more fresh lemon or lime juice
1⁄4 cup chopped black or green olives
1 cup chopped apple, orange, tangerine, tangelo, or other fruit you might like
2 tbsp olive oil
Celtic sea salt and pepper to taste
Serves 1-2
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, massage oil, salt, and lemon juice well into all vegetables.
Can make many servings at once, in a large pyrex or other storage bowl. Up to 4-5 batches can be
made at one time.
Variaton for either radish salad = add in 3-4 tbsp prepared mustard for more kick – or one small hot
pepper, or 2-3 tbsp fresh grated ginger
Radish and Umeboshi plum salad
2 cups grated or finely chopped radish
2 tsp umeboshi plum paste or 2 ume plums mashed up
2 tbsp olive, hemp, flax, sesame, or Vega (brand) oil
Mix up well and stands as the easiet salad ever!
This is fantastic for fungus, constipation, mucus excess, long-term gut issues, skin issues, any
pathogen overgrowth.
